Name Excel Tables as You Create Them
TechNews

Excel for Windows now lets you name a table in the Create Table dialog. Microsoft's October 27 update confirms that the feature is available to Windows users after its September introduction to Office Insiders.

When creating a table with Ctrl+T or Insert > Table, you can enter a descriptive name as part of that step. A name such as SalesData is more recognizable than Table1 when a workbook contains several tables. Existing tables can still be renamed through the Table Design tab.

See Microsoft's October Excel update for the availability announcement and the linked September article for the creation steps.
