VBA Code to Clear Cell
Mark Fannin

I'm making a form for data collection.  I have a few fields where I want the text box to clear after I save the data to the table.  That is because the form stays open and I need to add more data from the same form.  Is there code I can use on the field or on the form to clear the box after I save the data?  Many thanks.

Just move to the next record, that will both save the record and give you an empty form ready to add a new record.

I need the current form to stay open so I can re-populate the data and then save it to the table.  The primary form has other data that needs to stay present.  Just a few fields need to be updated.  thank you

Hi Mark, Is your form set to Data Entry mode?

Create an unbound form and then use SQL to add the data to the table or tables. After it writes to the table have your VBA null or "" the fields in question.

In the Save button, add FieldName = ""

Great help from everyone.  John - form is data entry but doesn't open with new record vba.  Jeffrey - I will give it a try tonight.  Sandra - also will give it a try tonight.  Sincere thanks to everyone.!.  sometimes I just need to be pointed in the right direction.  Sadly, I don't have anyone to talk database with.  No one at work or home.  So your help is invaluable to me.  All the best.  Mark in Colorado.

Sandra - your recommendation works and is easy to implement.  I'm continuing to dive into Jeffrey and John's advice as well.  So much to learn - and so much fun when it works!  Thanks again to everyone.
