Printing Multiple Subforms Forms
Michael Sherratt

Hi All. I am so glad I took the plunge to start learning Access. In a short space of time I have learned heaps and have developed a database for a mechanics business. The database stores: customer, vehicle and job data including what parts are used for a job. Each job records the job date, customer and vehicle details along with the parts for that job which are recorded in a subform.
The mechanic has a supplier and he normally orders all the parts a fortnight in advance. I have set up an email report to forward to his supplier for each job, which includes the vehicle details and parts (in a subform) required. Unfortunately this means about 20 emails (20 individual jobs) with separate purchase orders being sent. Each report has the vehicle and parts required for an individual job.
Is there a way (or a developer lesson) that I can watch to put the selected jobs and items on the one report so the supplier only gets one email?

I would suggest maybe, at the end of each day running a query to list each vehicle and part.  Then email the list once at the end of the day.  Have you tried that?

You can definitely combine multiple sub-reports on one main report with different record sources.

I do that all the time.

Richard

I googled "subreports in Microsoft Access." And I did not get any hits from your videos.
