Importing From Excel to Access Table
Jean McGowan

I have a table tblservicelineitem with linenumber as PK and autonumber.  At times we like to use a import of a spreadsheet that duplicates the table.  We input the spreadsheets values for everything but Autonumber.  What do I need to do so that it will append the table with an autonumber so I can not voliate the null autonumber?  We can't see the number in the table so I can't just input them. Willing to go into more detail if needed.

Whats the purpose of the spreadsheet?

We have so many line items that we can cut and paste into a spread sheet.  I don't want to have our people type them in one at a time.  So the import tool take the spreadsheet edited and imports it directly into the table.  Our people add a contract number and date.... We can have an order with 10000 lines on a weekly basis.

It's an AutoNumber it should be added automatically.
What method are you using to import currently?
