Form Design Formatting

I have a subform that I formatted a field (YTD Total) to white text. Some of the records shows up white and some shows up black. Not a big deal, I was just wondering why it is happening?

Is one a positive value and the other a negative value? Depending on the format property of the field or conditional formatting, this may effect the appearance.

Donald Both of the values shown are positive.

Is the first one showing red?

Just taking a guess here but does it show black when the field has the focus and is white when it loses focus?

Alex In the Amount field I have conditional formatting for any amount that is over 500 to turn red. As I tab through the records in the "CreditorF" the YTDTotal on the RecurringTransactionsSubF shows up white for some records and black for others. It doesn't matter weather the amount less than or greater then 500.

Bj The only other thing I can glean from your images is that in the one where the total is white, the amount over 500 is red as previously noted, but also in the fields to the left, nothing appears highlighted/focused but in the 2nd image with the black total, the account is highlighted/focused and the date is green w/ black text. Is there anything linked between the fields changing the fore color?

Without being able to see the form/controls/properties in design view, can't really come up with any easy troubleshooting. If there's no conditional formatting applied in the control properties and none in vba and no formatting in the table or underlying queries, I don't see anything else to help find out what's happening with what is shown.

Thank you all for your quick responses. Donald after your last post I played around with it and found it to be when the IsPaid is checked and not checked.

I had Conditional Formatting on the IsPaid field and did not realize that. Thanks all.
