Donald is correct. Store the BandID (and FeaturedArtistID, if applicable) in your music table, but use a query to display the actual names on forms and reports.

For example, if both fields point to the same ArtistsT table, your query needs to join that table twice: once for the band and once for the featured artist. Each join gets its own alias, so Access knows they are two different lookups of the same table.

On your data-entry form, use combo boxes that store the ID but display the band or artist name. On reports, base the report on the query, and put the name fields from the query on the report instead of the numeric ID fields.
