No Help Window Pops Up

When watching your tutorial you have a little helper window that pops up when you are typing. For example when you are typing Forms!CustomerF!CustomerID the helper window pops up. I don't ever get that window. I'm using the Office 365 version. Is there a way to turn this function on? Thanks!

That feature is called Intellisense and it's normally ON by default. Are you missing it in the VBA editor? Do you have it in the Query Design View? Have you run down the Troubleshooter?

I don't have it in Query Design View. I don't know about VBA editor...I haven't gotten there yet in the courses, so I'm not sure how to check. I have run down the troubleshooter list and done everything up to reinstall office. I only have one computer so I was unable to test on another device.

I've got nothing. Sorry. I even spent about 10 minutes Googling this for you. Couldn't find anything. I've never run into this problem before. One user suggested your system could be low on RAM. Have you tried rebooting Windows? I know some people (myself included) can go months without doing a proper Windows shutdown/restart.

I spent quite some time googling it myself with no luck either. As for a Windows reboot, well I rebooted the computer per your troubleshooter guide, but I have never heard of just rebooting Windows. I feel so stupid right now. I have been working on computers since DOS and I'm going to have to google how to reboot windows.

It's just Start > Shutdown > Restart. In Windows 10 it's Start Button > Power > Restart.

I restarted the computer with my original attempt to solve this problem. Is this feature needed when I get to the advanced courses?

No. It's never NEEDED, it just makes life easier. I've got no idea why it's not working for you.

The only thing I can think of is that you upgraded Office from an older version on the same machine and some older DLL files might be conflicting. I don't know. The next thing I would try would be a complete UNINSTALL and then reinstall of Office.

Okay I reinstalled Office and the window still doesn't show up if I just type in the Default Value section, but if I click on the 3 dots and expanded the Expression Builder it does show up in that window now. I can work with that. Thanks for your help!

No problem. It's still weird. :)
