Rupert, this is already in there. Remember those Prego spaghetti sauce commercials... "It's in there."

Each step of the way, the database tracks who did what and when. For example:

- Joe the sales rep entered the work order on 1/1/09
- Sam the service tech started work on 1/2/09
- Sam finished on 1/5/09
- Bill the manager approved the work on 1/7/09
- Joe the sales rep followed up with the customer on 1/8/09
- Bill closed the work order on 1/10/09

All of this is tracked on the work order. ONLY the people who are allowed to click certain buttons can click them (for example, ONLY managers can close work orders); only service techs can enter service notes. Etc.

I think you'll like this. Plus I've spent a LOT of time showing you how to secure the database AS BEST AS YOU CAN with just Access (without a database server).
