32 bit and 64 bit

A while back I created a database for my job that we Keep track of our Regular Customers and the Customers that are on the Do Not Rent List. Recently That computer started started just auto refreshing windows enough you could not work on it. My boss went and bought a new computer and I got it all set up with my most updated copy of this database. Since then I have the old computer up and running without losing any of my data and now both computers are networked together. I split the database and put the back end in a shared folder and that when I found out the new computer is running a 64bt MS office and the old is running 32. now I saved the front end as a accde which is why this is an issue i cant open the database on the 64bit. Is it possible to have a 64bit front end on one and a 32 bit front end on the old and it all work together or should and if this is possible... since I still have the original database that I created on my home computer on 64bit create linked tables between the two and still have the same information on Both. Would love to know what you recommend

If you were using ACCDB files, you wouldn't have a problem. ACCDE files, however, are specific to the bit-ness of the version of Access that's on that PC. So, either uninstall 32-bit and reinstall with 64-bit, OR take your ACCDB file and compile a separate ACCDE for each machine. I'd recommend the first option - it would be easier for updates moving forward. #THQQ
