DateDiff

I recently watched the "Task Manager" video and followed along and built that Database as Richard showed. The only change I made was an additional text box to show me total "Time On Task" for the DateCreated and the DateCompleted buttons on the form. It works sort of okay. I used the formula, =DateDiff("n",[CreatedDate],[CompletedDate])/60 or \60 but I can not figure out ow to get it to read out something like this "4 hours, 15 minutes" like it does in my query. I tried using the query field as a record source, but it doesnt show me one for the query in the properties dialog box for the form. I would like this total to appear in the form if possible. In my opinion, the user doesnt need to see the query for all entries.
This is what I am getting: 4.26666666666667
Could you please help.
Thank you.

It's working just fine. You're seeing 4.266667 hours, which is what you asked for. What you want is Time as a Duration.

I also have a function in the Code Vault called How Long which will take two times and return a value like "4 hours, 13 minutes." You'll have to upgrade to Gold to get that, though. :)

I am planning on doing that when I need to renew my membership. Let me know what I need to do.

You just say "hey Rick, upgrade me to Gold" and I will upgrade you to Gold. LOL. Your current Silver membership is set to renew on April 3rd, but I can renew you any time and pro-rate it. Just let me know. Don't post in the Forum though because I only check in here every couple of days. Use the customer service form.
