Value from Form to Subform

Pic is attached.  I want the Contractor on my subform to copy to the related record in my sub-subform.  The row source of my subform is
SELECT [ContractorT].[ContractorID], [ContractorT].[ContractorName] FROM ContractorT;
(Note name of combo box is Combo30)  When I use the control source forms!ContractorProjActivitiesSubformF!Combo30, I get the Contractor ID.
I want the ContractorName shown instead.  Subform Name = ContractorProjActivitiesSubformF.  Any idea on what I am doing wrong.

You are being returned the first column (column 0) in the combo box (usually the ID). The ContractorName will be in the second column, so to get that value say Combo30.Column(1).

Note: Combo30 is not a very meaningful name, especially if you need to refer to it.

Ok thanks.  I usually use better naming schemes.  I need to revise it.

Also watch the Value From A Form video for the correct syntax when referring to a subform.

Are you adding the ContractorId then doing a query to pull it in (or DLOOKUP)

I am adding the query on my main form combobox using the ContractorID but returning the ContractorName.  I am not using DLOOKUP.  I am using the expression forms!formname!comboboxname to return the value from my main form to subform.  Still on my subform, I am getting just the ContractorID.  The contractor name is correctly displayed on the mainform
