Sorry, I'm lost. What's the problem?  You can't left click on things? Is it only inside of access or is it elsewhere on the computer? Do you have a debug window with an error up?

shift & double click, I meant, sorry.  To open data base from the desktop icon to open the database without all my navigation bar & menus hidden normally. It's launching in normal mode every time, I've lost the shift & open function. Thanks

Have you confirmed that your shift key isn't stuck/broken? You can type CAPITALS while holding it? Just checking the easy stuff ;).

And you haven't disabled the bypass key?

It's not something you would have done accidentally. You would need to code in that the bypass be disabled. So that's probably not it.

Running Normal Access or Access Runtime? ACCDB or ACCDE? It's worked before on this machine?

I would say go down the Troubleshooter especially the first few

Also is it in a trusted location? Windows 10? Lots of variables here ;).

Put the shortcut to your database on your desktop. Click on it once. Let go of the mouse. Now hold down the SHIFT key and double click on the icon. It should open up to the Navigation Pane. It may be minimized on your Task Bar. IF NOT, and the database opens normally, then the bypass key has been disabled which is something that you can't do accidentally. It involves a bunch of code and I cover how to do it and undo it in the Security Seminar.
