Search Form Question
David Musser

I created a Search Form using the Microsoft Access Multi-Field Search Form 2.0 youtube video. The form search functions work well with no "Enter Parameter Value". However, Im trying to embed this form in a navigational form using one of the tabbed templates. When I open my navigational form, I get the "Enter Parameter Value" for each of my search boxes on that search form. Is there something different I need to put in my query criteria to reference the search form within the nav form? Why would the "enter parameter value" show up on the navigational form but not the search form?

Thanks in advanced for any help!

Very possible that if you are using a Tabbed Form that could give you issues.
See the Evil Access Stuff page.
Tabbed interfaces are not recommended due to their finicky nature.

Thank you both! The query criteria is:

Like "*" & [Forms]![MainMenuTabsF]![CompanySubF].[Form]![CompanySearch] & "*" Or Is Null

Spelling checked lots of times. The Evil Access link lead me to some videos where this should work but where tabbed nav forms arent recommended as Scott indicated... Im not quite ready to give up on my tabbed navigation form yet so Ill keep tinkering at least through tonight and welcome any suggestions on my criteria above before going another route.

David -
Whenever I run up against something like this I try to "hard code" the value into a query.  Let it help you out.
Then substitute the the variable part in.
Check out your quotes.

See the Double Double Quotes video and see if you can't power through it. You'll remember better if you can.
If you just can't get it let us know.
