WeekDayName Function

I've completely enjoyed this seminar, learned a lot, refreshed some of programming skills and have developed a weekly calendar based on what I learned.  The majority of our events last anywhere from 3 to 7 days in length; but may begin on a Wednesday or Thursday.  Using your instructions from the seminar, the event information would then be on two rows in the calendar form.  So, I deleted the StartDate calculation, set the StartDate equal to first date of the event and the event info appears in the first list box.

I now have 2 questions;

1), How do I move the Day of the Week label above the correct column?   Ive read about the WeekDayName function, but dont know if thats what I need.

2) Can a SQL statement be embedded into a Public Sub and then pass arguments into the SQL statement so it doesnt have to be cut, pasted, and edited multiple times?

My current plan is to test multiple list boxes in each column (8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, etc.) and modify the WHERE condition by adding a check for the StartTime.  Im not sure if that is possible in the list boxes.  Then the event will show up in the corresponding time slot, similar to an Outlook Calendar.    I do realize that Outlook wasnt developed using Access!  I just like the look and feel of it.

Thanks, William. I'm glad you enjoyed. This is actually one of the databases I'm planning on giving an overhaul to soon, like I did the Loan Amort template recently. I know a LOT more about Access now than when I built this Calendar Seminar database in... Jeez... 2009. LOL

To answer your questions.

1. Yep. See today's FastTip in fact. Weekday.

2. Absolutely. Give it a try.
