Date Manipulation
Nathan Maturine

In my database, the day of the month of a customer Start date should be the same as their due date. So if the customer start date is June 30 2021, their July Due Date should be the 30th.
However, some older customer accounts has start dates that isn't on the 15th and the 30th as we now have it.
Question.....
1. When calculating the due date after a payment, how can i ensure the due date day of the month is either the 15th or the 30th OR the day part of the start date?
2. How can I account for February, where it seems we have a lot of issues.

These two videos will help.

DateAdd and THIS one on DateSerial

Then you will need to use some code to tell it what to do, assign the 15th or 30th depending on if the payment date is between whatever days you want. February is the same thing just use Month(DueDate) to find out if it's going to be a febraury and code it accordingly.

Thanks for your quick response.
1. I think I understand the DateSerial part, but In the instances where the Start Date is the 25th (or a date that isn't the 15th or the 30th), I need to change the Due Date so it begins on the 30th (based on the Start date being the 25th.
So if after the DateAdd the Due date is the 25th, I need to change the 25 to 30.
I believe the protocol we will adopt is any Start Date From the 1st - 14th will have a due Date of the 15th and Start Dates from the 16th - 29th will be the 30th.
2. In February, the due dates would either be the 15th or the 28 or 29.
