Sharepoint and Split DB
Stephanie Martin

I've already copied my Tables to Sharepoint and have my Front end forms and such on my local drive. Should I still (officially) split the database using database tools? Or is what I've done basically the same thing? I'm planning on distributing the front end to two other users soon. Thank you.

Stephanie the Access SharePoint Seminar might be of use to you.  But it kind of sounds like you have the SharePoint (SP) basics down.  If you do decide to get that seminar be sure to use the special Discount Link Richard emailed you when you signed up for the Gold TechHelp membership.

I just finished watching the seminar myself.  Like I mentioned before I don't have or use a SP account so take my comments with a grain of salt.  That being said, it appears that if you have all the tables up in SP but all of your Forms, Reports, Queries in your Access db and only links to tables up on SP you should be ready to go.  Someone may correct me (Please) if I'm mistaken.

Were you able to get the connection between Office and Home working properly? HERE

Sorry post size limits...

Can you tell us a bit more how the others will work with your db?  Do they have an Office 365 account?  Will they be using a .accde file?
Are all of your tables up on SP or do you have local tables also?

BTW
It's probably best to keep this thread going for this subject so answers are not spread out over multiple posts.

The others have Office 365 on their own laptops at work.  We all use sharepoint for other documents. They would be using a accde file when I get it ready.  I'm the only one right now using Access from sharepoint.  I have all my tables there now. It seems it would be easy to share once I'm ready.

Sounds to me like you are on the right path.  It really should be as easy as emailing them the file and have them put it on their laptops.
Let us know how your testing goes!

Thanks for the encouragement.  I'll let you know how it goes.
