ReportsFind Replace

I have reports where, depending on jurisdiction, the name of the Claimant can also be Applicant or Plaintiff. The term needed (claimant, plaintiff, etc) in the report appears many times.

Is there a way to hit a button to make one report convertable, converting claimant to applicant to plaintiff?

I'd prefer not to create another field. Here is an example of my text box:
     ="Claimant acknowledges and agrees that the "&
     [Defendant]...

Thanks,

John

Hi John
Watch Rick's video on Quote, Invoice, Receipt. It may help you.

You need to have an additional field, or a variable, or a field in a temporary table, or wherever you want to store the info.  Since this is additional info, you need to store it somewhere.

The example below prompts the user for a selection and stores it in a variable.  The picture shows the sample VBA code and the result:

Kevin, didn't know you could prompt a list of choices. Very enticing.

I think this is the answer, but the code I typed in prompts an error: "Expected Then or Goto". I've double checked and can't find my error.

Option Compare Database
Option Explicit

Private Sub Detail_Format(Cancel As Integer, FormatCount As Integer)

    Dim s As String, r As Variant, role As String
    'prompt user for input'
    r = InputBox("Select: " & vbCrLf & "1. Claimant" & vbCrLf & "2.Applicant") & ""

    'Format text to print.
    s = ""
    If role <>"" Then _
        s = "On______________________<b><i>(Date)</i></b>,______________________<b><i>("&role&")</i></b>,"&_
            "referred to herein as <b><i>"& role &"</i><b>, filed, pursuant to___________________''''''

Me!documenttext = s

End Sub

Hi John, there must be a space before and after each ampersand (&) and underscore (_). E.g.:

   s = "......" & role & "......" & _
      "......" & role & "......"

Btw, the "role" variable isn't assigned a value in your code, so it's an empty string.
