Hey Guys, I would like to buy (on disk!) the SQL 1 seminar for my nephew - is this possible? If he likes it I'll buy the the other two components. Thanks in advance.
(Still haven't had time to look at it myself!)

Scott  - What a great name!

The courses are no longer available on disk.  They are available  to download however.   You could register under your nephew's name and purchase them for him however.

Well worth the  education value by the way.  I'll tag Richard so he can advise further. Might be a bit since he is currently moving.

Yes sorry I haven't shipped anything on CDs in a while. You can even order it yourself and burn it to a CD and give it to him if you really want to or just give me his information and after you place the order I'll create an account for him and put the course on his logon. Whatever you want to do I'm easy. I just don't trip CDs cuz it's paying the butt especially to addresses outside the United States.

USB thumb drives are cheap ($5 - 7 for 500MB to 1GB, more than enough space to store several of your videos), and are durable for shipping.  You can, of course, pass all the cost to the customer.  I think that's a feasible way to ship physical media to people who can't or don't want to download.

Thanks for the replies people - and thanks Richard - I understand, I just thought (old-school here!) that a physical product was a bit more personal than a "Hey, click on this!". The other concern was that he works in rural Australia and has a laptop, often with no reception. Will check it out, thanks.

Scott I'm old school like you and also in a rural / no reception area at times.  It seems that Kevin Yips suggestion might be a viable one.  Purchase a Flash drive for your Nephew and download it for him. Then you have a physical gift to give him and you also can explain that it is also available on line.  It also shows you care enough to consider his situation.

In my case we had / have satellite now so things like videos and movies get expensive after you hit the data cap. It's much more cost effective for me to download and take it with me while I'm in town.  Best of both worlds.

Thanks Scott (and everyone else) I think that's what I'll do!

There are lots of cool novelty gift flash drives you can buy nowadays like this one.
