Many to Many from Excel Table pt2

thanks the help. that makes sense to me but the issue is the amount of time it would take to iterate through each row in my Excel sheet and extract the relevant data. there are about 10,000 instances of different values I would need to do one by one. Is there a tool to do this quickly or a method other than manually entering that data?

Hi Bradley, if you have a list of *unique* 10,000 items, then you can add a column of unique number to be their primary keys (see picture below).  You can then import this table into Access as a "normalized" table.  That would be the easiest way to turn Excel data into properly Access table.  If you don't have unique items, if you have duplicates caused by typos, data entry errors, etc., then yes, that will be a headache to fix.  Access requires "normalized" tables.  After creating these tables for all your Excel data, you can then "add relationships" to them.
