Titlebar Center vs Left Align

Hello,

I was wondering how to center the table name at the top of the table when you open it up in Access.

Thank you,

Stephen Meiring

I don't believe that is something that is possible.

Basically, you and your users shouldn't be working directly with a table any way.  You have much more control over how things look as well as having programmatic options if you use  Continuous Forms instead.

Hello Scott,

I thought it was, since they are centered in Richard's videos. I am the one doing the developing for the tables and it is my personal preference to have it centered.

Thank you for the quick response.

That's a Windows system-wide setting that can't be changed.  It affects all application windows.  In Windows 8 and 8.1, all applications have their names centered on the title bar.  In Windows XP, 7, and 10, they are left-aligned.  Richard's videos must have been done in Windows 8 or 8.1.

Yeah, it's definitely a Windows setting, but I've got a Windows 10 machine that has the centered title and the Windows 11 machine that I use now for recording my videos has the left-aligned title. I've seen some articles on the Google machine talking about ways to hack that, but to me, it's never been that important, so I really don't care.

If you do a little searching, you'll probably find ways to change it, whether it's through a registry hack or some kind of utility you have to install. If anyone does find a definitive and simple solution for when Windows left aligns it or centers it, let me know because this has been bugging me for a while too. I spent about 20 minutes searching for a definitive answer at one point, but I gave up because it's just not that important to me.

Thank You, Kevin and Richard. Not that important to me either, just though I would ask.
