Signature pad issues
David Hudson

Hi, I have been having an issue.  I used this video to work on this issue, but then got stuck: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2rRRe0gE4o&t=107s. ( Signatures ) I have a database which uses a demographic table to store client information.  I have a subform called session subform that stores the information about each visit.  I want to collect signatures from the clients each time they come in, and have been using the files that you describe above.  I have created the signature form and linked it to the session subform, but when I run it, I get an the 2450 message, stating that Access cannot find the session subform.  When I debug it, it stops at the line "Forms!Session_subform.Refresh"  It does this whether I use an underscore for Session subform or not.  Any help would be appreciated.

Here's some variations to try:

Session_subform.Refresh
Forms!ParentFormName!Session_subform.Refresh
Parent!Session_subform.Refresh

If none of these work we will need more information.

David, you might want to cheque to see if there are any legal constraints to collecting such images. This may (or may not) run you afoul of such rules exposing you to future action from a litigious client.

Hi,

None of those variations worked.  What other information do you need from me?

Some screenshots may be helpful.
What EXACTLY have you tried?

Kevin's suggestion of Forms!ParentFormName!Session_subform.Refresh should work.  But "ParentFormName" is just a placeholder name.  Use your actual parent form name for it.  This code is an absolute reference, which means it should work no matter where the code is.
