Invalid operation Error 3219

Started doing this about 2 weeks ago.

When i close the front end and reopen later, I get this error and can't use the db. To work around, I have to grab a backup db, reconnect it to the backend.

I've tried/succeeded at making a trusted folder but that didn't help. Also tried compact and repair to no avail.

This only happens on my PC. it doesn't happen on the 3 other PCs on our network.

Per the error "help" button:

Possible causes:

You tried to write to a read-only property. See the Help topic for the property to determine whether it is read/write.

You tried to use a method or property on a type of Recordset object that the method or property does not apply to. See the Recordset object summary topic to determine which methods and properties apply to a given type of Recordset object.

You tried to append a property to a Properties collection of an object that does not support user-defined properties.

You tried to use the Update method on a read-only Recordset object.

Haven't been abl to fix. Can anyone help?

If the error comes from VBA, you need to find out which line of code triggers the error. If the error occurs when the DB opens, find out what code runs when Access opens, usually in the autoexec macro.

See if you have an "autoexec" macro. It runs when your database opens. Also check if you have a start-up form specified in Access options. That form opens, and its On Open event runs, if any, when your database opens.

i don't see that I have any autoexec macros. I do have a start-up form listed in the "current Database" tab called SWITCHBOARD". it looks like that form ha an"After update" event procedure: Private Sub Form_AfterUpdate() Forms!switchboard!Graph396.Requery End Sub Also have a "maximize" on open. is that form somehow corrupt?

Remove the start-up form from the options, then start Access to see if the error is gone. If so, your start-up form is likely the culprit. Open the form from the navigation pane. If the error occurs, see if it takes you to debug mode, with a yellow line highlighting the code that causes the error.
