table based on another table

OK brilliant minds....  This is what I want to do. I would love some direction on how to best think about doing it.
I have a table called MeetingAgenda. It has a primary of AgendaID. After the Agenda form is completed, (possibly printed, emailed & closed) I want to call up the a copy of the agenda form completed for the date of AgendaID, but I want to enter new information for each of the items identified in the agenda, allowing the secretary to type in what occurs at the related meeting. using the same stuff identified on the agenda but expanded upon in the minutes and then saved to the minutes table.  The minutes table and the agenda tables should be related by meeting date.  Give me ideas people!!!

not sure what or how you wish to do this but try this video and see if this will give you an idea Copy Last Record
I use this one to copy the record but not the date and it sets up a new ID then I add to the notes field.  This way you can close out the last one and start a new one but carry forwards some of the information.

Hi Deborah

This sounds to me like a classical Three table set up:
1) AgendaT with AgendaID key, date other information
2) AgendatDetailT with AgendaDetailID key and AGendaID linking it to AgendaT
3) optional AgendaMinutesT with AgendaMinutesID key and AgendaDetailID to link it to AgendaDetailT or perhaps directly linked to AgendaT depending on your workflow.

This is a cleaner design and much easier to code.
and you are not limiting yourself to one meeting per day.
best of luck, tell us how you progress.

Thank You Sami!  I will be able to work on that the next couple of days.   Sounds like a good strategy.
