File Sharing for Read Only

Is it ok to use File Sharing if you are the only user who can alter or edit data.  So other users can read only and you just want them to be able to view forms, report or to search for certain records to view?  If that would be good can you point me to a tech help video to review how to make the database read only?  Thank You

Changing the question.  So if I put the read only db into a Zipped File onto OneDrive and share that with others to view only, it would be OK as they would have to download to their pc and view it from their pc.  This would be about the same as just emailing the zipped file to them.  The problem as I understand, seems to occur when the viewers, are looking at the db sitting on one drive and they are viewing forms, reports, search records interface from their pc.  Do I understand this?

You can't use OneDrive or any cloud storage for Access no matter how many users you have.  Cloud services use "sync" to send data back and forth, which operates at unpredictable time intervals that could be detrimental for Access.  As an example, open a file in Word or Excel, turn on Auto Save (at top right corner), and start typing.  And you notice that it does not auto-save (sync to cloud) while you are typing.  If you type for N seconds or minutes, it won't save until N seconds or minutes later when you stop.  This can't happen in Access.  In Access, every keystroke typed in a table, form, code, properties, etc., has to be processed right away.  If you can't count on cloud files to be updated right away as demonstrated above, you can't use cloud for Access, or you'll end up with corrupted Access files as many users have.

To your other question about a read-only Access file, if you set it to read-only in the file properties (see picture below), then ALL users will only be able to read only.  To have some users read only while others read and write, you need to do a lot more coding and design to the Access front end because there is no built-in feature for that.

If you zip the file up and put it in a folder like Google Drive or Dropbox, and you let people know this is where they can grab a copy of the database from, then that should be fine as long as they realize that they have to copy it to their computer, open it, and that's their copy. They can't edit the one that's online, like Kevin said.
