Default Font Change
Kevin Robertson

Looks like Microsoft has made a change to the default font for the Office theme.

It has gone from Calibri to Aptos (screenshot below).

This change has unfortunately messed up all my existing databases as the text no longer fits in some of the controls, which I had sized perfectly before the update.

Now I will have to go through them all and change the Theme Font back to 'Office 2013 - 2022' otherwise I'd have to go to each form in turn to make the changes (way too much work. LOL).

Also messed with the colors so will need to change the Theme Colors back to 'Office 2013 - 2022' as well.

Thanks a lot Microsoft.

Consistency is not one of Microsoft strong suits.

From what I've seen so far, this only affects new files, not existing files:

New .accdb files -> new forms or reports -> Aptos used as default font.
Existing .accdb files created before change to Aptos -> new forms or reports -> old default font used.

New Word/Excel files -> Aptos used as default font everywhere.
Existing Word/Excel files -> existing fonts unchanged.
Existing Excel files -> add new worksheet -> default font inherited from adjacent sheet (as before).

Yeah, I've gotten a couple of complaints about this via email and on YouTube, so I think a video is warranted.
