Search As You Type

Hi
Great Video here https://599cd.com/blog/display-article.asp?ID=2777 - extended cut

The data is on a subform. The unbound text box works great in the subform.. Thank You.

Me.RecordSource = "SELECT * From ManufaturersPartsQ subform " & _
    "WHERE Partnumber LIKE ""*" & SearchBox.Text & "*"""
SearchBox.SetFocus
SearchBox.SelStart = Len(SearchBox.Text)

I am trying to implememt the search from an unbound text box from the main form and the above code does not work. I notice the subform seems to refresh but it is not filtering.

Im sure Im missing something simple.

p.s I know spelt manufacturing wrong...lol

LOL.. posted too quick, must have been figure / text blind.

I replaced the subform ( which was a query ) with just a continuous form and now it works... Doh..

This is helping a member of my team so much work looking up parts manually from a manual... Thanks Again.

Eventually I got there, changing subform to a query, continuos form etc I ended up with this working in a subform..
Me.RecordSource = "SELECT * From ManufaturersParts " & _
    "WHERE Partnumber LIKE ""*" & SearchBox.Text & "*"""
SearchBox.SetFocus
SearchBox.SelStart = Len(SearchBox.Text)

Then the unbound text box on the main form

Me!ManufaturersPartsF2.Form.RecordSource = "SELECT * From ManufaturersParts " & _
    "WHERE Partnumber LIKE ""*" & SearchBox.Text & "*"""
SearchBox.SetFocus
SearchBox.SelStart = Len(SearchBox.Text)

The ManufaturersPartsF2 is the name of the subform and what confused me I had to put an ! after Me and not a fullstop for record source.
