Is there any real reason to convert Macros to VBA
John Schreiber

Is there any use of Access that could preclude having Macros?  I can work with both Macros and VBA, just wondering if I need to go to the effort to convert Macros.  My data bases at most would have 5000 pieces of data.  And I would share them with friends.

Good question!

There are things like sending email, opening recordsets, API calls, and file manipulation that VBA can do.  VBA is generally more powerful and flexible than macros.  Some people consider the macros easier to learn and read.  As long as you can achieve the functionality that you need, it is user preference.

Thanks for your reply's, Sami and MAT.
Matt, I realize the VBA Coding is more powerful than Macros.  I was just commenting on the necessity, if any, on converting Macros to VBA.
