View Single Window for Maps

I've seen Tech Help Map a Location in Access

If I go to another record and click the hyperlink button, a new window pops up for Google Maps.

Assuming Google maps is already open, is there a way, maybe within the hyperlink command, to just go to the new record pin location in the same window?

Is there a difference in the command if Google Maps is not already open?

Remind me, does this just open IE?
You could have Access popup a form with a WebBrowser control and just update the URL in that

It opens in whatever default the computer is set to.  I never considered the web browser within another form.  Not sure how that would work but I will give it a try but think there would still be a delay with load time.

I was wrong.  Opens only in IE (which sucks) and it will not drop a pin either, with internet explorer compatibility view enabled or disabled.  At least with the same url and a hyperlink, it will open a page and add the pin.  Going to a new record and viewing it means another wait for load time and possibly several new windows open.

Using a form still loads slowly but the pin is important.  That is why I was hoping to use the same window and just change the data ( in this case, latitude/ longitude) to drop another pin and move the map to it.  I'll keep scratching my head over this, for some time apparently.
