I just added a new SEARCH BAR to the web site header, and I can see it lighting up like a Christmas Tree with a search for:
ACCESS 2007
So let me quickly point out that YES, YES, YES, Access 2007 tutorials are coming! I just finished the Upgrading to Word 2007 tutorial, and I'm working on a couple of beginner Word tutorials first - THEN it's Access 2007. I'll do Excel AFTER Access since Access is my forte.
Here's what I need to know from you...
What do YOU want to see me cover FIRST with Access 2007. Right now, my options are:
1. Make an "Upgrading to Access 2007" tutorial which covers all of the new features and changes from 2003 to 2007 - just like the Word seminar I recently recorded.
2. Make a video that highlights all of the differences in MY VIDEOS from 2003 to 2007 - in other words, go through the databases that we built in my previous Access 2003 tutorials and point out the different stuff.
3. Start from scratch with Access 2007 101 and just start with beginner tutorials again.
4. Forget the beginner stuff and move right into the ADVANCED Access 2007 developer tutorials.
YOU TELL ME what you're most interested in. I've got probably a week or so of work left to finish these Word tutorials and then I'm going to be getting started on Access 2007.
Post your reply below (in my blog) and let me know.
Oh, and as a reminder, for those of you who are NEW to my site, if you purchase the current Access 2003 tutorials, you'll get a FREE upgrade to the Access 2007 version of that level when it's released. Click here for details.
Everyone else... hang in there. Access 2007 tutorials are coming. I'll have them out just in time for the release of Access 2010.
I'm kidding of course. But...
Microsoft just released Access 2010 for beta testing. It's scheduled to be released in January of 2010. Now, if you take my advice, I always say WAIT WAIT WAIT until a major product (like Windows and Office) has been on the market for AT LEAST a YEAR before upgrading to it. This is one of the reasons why I've taken so long to release Access 2007 tutorials. Let someone ELSE discover all of the bugs. Let Microsoft release a few service packs BEFORE you go pulling you hair out dealing with bugs.
Office 2007 is FINALLY to the point where it's reliable and stable enough for me to consider using it. So wait until at least the end of 2010 before upgrading to the NEXT version of Office.
