This is an advanced-level quiz on Access Forms and Macros. I got five questions for you. You'll have three seconds after each question. Pause the video if you need more time, and keep track of your score.
Alien merchants are ready to do business. Let's see how well you can keep their orders in line. Here we go.
Question 1.
Users must be able to select and copy a text box's contents without editing them. Which settings should you use?
Enabled No, Locked No; Enabled Yes, Locked No; Enabled Yes, Locked Yes; or Enabled No, Locked Yes?
You want C: Enabled Yes, Locked Yes.
Question 2.
A paid order's detail fields must be read-only while its main form description stays editable. Which single control should you lock?
The order detail subform control, the main form description text box, the paid checkbox, or the main form record selector.
That'll be the order detail subform control.
Question 3.
A locking macro works when paid changes, but navigating to another order leaves the old lock settings. Which form event should also run it?
On Open, On Close, On Resize, or On Current.
That would be On Current.
Question 4.
A macro must collect text with Input Box and use the same response in a later condition. Which action stores the response?
Message Box, Set TempVar, Run Macro, or Cancel Event.
That would be Set TempVar.
And question 5.
The user clears the paid checkbox but enters the wrong password. Which event and action can cancel that checkbox update?
After Update, then Cancel Event; Before Update, then Message Box only; Before Update, then Cancel Event; or On Current, then Message Box only.
That'll be Before Update, then Cancel Event.
All right, how'd you do? Did you get 5 out of 5? Are you the one who saved the galactic exchange? Or are you still counting with tentacles?
Well, if you missed any of these, topics and more are covered in Microsoft Access Advanced Level 3. You'll learn how to control edits on your forms and run macros from form events. You'll find links down below.
Thanks for playing. Post your score below in the comments and let me know how you did. The merchants promised not to charge you for a second attempt.
And until next time, live long and prosper.Intro
