I have a form that when loads it sets the back color property to the color I want on the control.  When I click on a button I want the back color to change to example Red  &HED1C24 However what comes up in the back color is blue &H2F3699 but shows &HED1C24

Check out access optons  Go to file, then options, then click client settings.   Do you have the office theme checked?  Is there a theme file?  If so, turn it off.

The top screen shot shows both Tab Base when form loads, the second shows when the vehicle button is clicked on. The tab base 1 right under is set to the same color as the button.  The 3rd is when the second button is clicked on. should be same color on lower tab base.  If I change the color to like straight black, code works fine.  Just when using the color code for the buttons

In case it helps:  I found that I could not change text colour in fields that are Locked or Disabled.  The text stays Black regardless of what ForeColor I chose.
