I am trying to build a more user friendly data base that will allow me to manipulate my company data more easily.  Right now the data base we use does not give me the ability to limit the view to just my area.  What is the recommended method for importing this data?  (also when I expect this to an excel file, the table is good but it adds in the first 4 rows that have both merged cells and unmerged cells which makes creating a table from it difficult).  Is there a way to create a table that goes out to a file to pull and update information?  Or should I import this data in as a linked table?  I have to use this table because it is updated daily and contains time sensitive dates that I can't figure out how to create a formula date in the table to calculate the new "due" date.
