Tracking the Life Cycle of a Process

I need to create a process so that I can follow the progress and stages of an application. The table of applications is large and stands currently at 133k+
Each day an external task runs, which outputs a set of results to an Excel sheet.
An excel sheet shows the application ID the date the application was made and the five stages/locations and the date of change of location: Eligibility, Final Decision, Identity, Late Verify and Suitability. The order of the life cycle is:
1)Late Verify,
2)Identity,
3)Suitability,
4)Eligibility,
5)Final Decision
It’s my job to each day, get that sheet and import into Access, the application ID, the stage that the application is at and the date the application moved into that stage.  Over the day caseworkers work on the cases, which progress through to each stage.  I need a process that will compare whether the case has moved location whether the application either stays as it is or changes to one of the other stages/locations.  I need to be able to track the progress of the applications daily by date. Does anybody have any advice as to the best way to do this?

This sounds like you need Project Manager.
Access Project Management
This is one in Access, I use it for small projects.  for full blown set up you will need MS Project.
