Hi and kudos on the tutorials

I manage a equipment rental at a filmschool and

Im looking for a more automated solution to equipment booking and invoice(where students sign out equipment.

As it is i receive emails with booking print them out and put them in my tray. I schedule with a excel doc wich becomes a nightmare on high times.  

Then on pickup i have a word doc wich i type everything manually.

Ive been looking for a solution for a long time with virtually no budget and i came across access  recently and your tutorials on youtube.

Will access be able to take me all the way?
I have no history with access and i am atm using openoffices database

Yep. Access is the right solution. It always takes a little more up-front prep work to build a database, but once it's finished you have a MUCH better solution that will actually SAVE you time in the long run. Take a look at my CALENDAR and WORK ORDER seminars. They probably cover most of what you need.
