Too Many Steps

Hello Richard,
This is just a general question about an SQL Database my company uses.
I work for a Heavy Truck Dealership, and their Parts management software is okay, i guess.
I am wondering if it is normal to have 11 different steps to print a part barcode.
This has always seemed to be too many steps just to do 1 barcode, also, you can't do multiple part numbers at once, you have to do them 1 at a time. this just seems not a good way to print barcodes.
Just looking for your opinion on this.
Thank you.

Definitely seems cumbersome to me.

Yea seems like a lot, I guess it depends on your equipment, workflow, and how complex your barcodes are, but most of our barcodes print out in 1 or 2 steps.

I tried to send you a ScreenPal Video, about 30 seconds, but the file size is too big. 1447k

All you can post on here are screen shots.

First Picture enter part number
Second Picture sends part number to forms menu
Third Picture is the form (Barcode),
and all the steps taken to get there.
After printing barcode, reset, and do it all again for each barcode.

That's why I wanted to do a ScreenPal, but it's okay.
Thank you!

So, I built one myself. My Company won't let me use it, but it works and scans just fine.
They said they don't trust it with our scanners, but I know for a fact that it works.
Oh well.
Thank you for showing me how to build this.

Richard,
I wanted to show you this too.
Very Quick Transport. a play on the Brown Guys, 1 letter off of the Real Name. I got that idea from 2001 A Space Oddity, and HAL, and IBM.
