Mr. Rost:
In the process of “fine tuning” one of my databases I have encountered a problem that has stumped me.
I am trying to calculate the time durations between various “milestones” of a visit to the doctor, starting from leaving home, touching on events like the pre-exam prep (blood pressure, height, weight,) then going into the exam room, the doctor arriving into the room, then him/her leaving the exam room and the patient returning home.
The blue fields are double click to enter [NOW()] – this will eventually include the 4 white cells in the middle, the grey cells to be calculated, hopefully, for times between the milestones, all formatted hh:nn.
        
The first couple of milestone times seemed to work OK by simply subtracting the earlier time from the latest time and I thought “GREAT!” – but – then things went haywire – especially when the times spanned across hours!
I tried DateDiff but haven’t been able to make it work.  I searched my print library, online, and back thru my Access lessons library and thought I had found a solution in your TIMESHEET Tech Help video but the Query calculations seemed too onerous to create for each of the 6 grey fields.  You mentioned one of your Developer sessions might cover this (#28 ?).
Is what I’m trying to do possible?  Or am I trying to mix Legos with Lincoln logs?
