Requery of Subform
Michael Medici

I am scratching my head on this one.  I've searched and tried every way I could find, but can't get this to work.

I have a customer form.  The main form is the customer info and the subform is the actual order area using part numbers from a catalog table/query using a combo box to select the part number.  If the part number they enter is not valid, then they get a popup to enter a new part which opens a form for this.  When they hit close on the new part form, I want it to requery the combo for the part number in the subform.

Thanks

Value From a Form
Value From Subform

In the Close event of your popup Form enter something like this:
    Forms!CustomerF!OrderSubF.Form!cboPartNumber.Requery

Yup, tried that:
[Forms]![frmOrderFormMain]![frm-OrderFormParts].[Form]![Combo6].Requery

Didn't work

Did you put the code in the Close event?
This works for me.

Yup, that is where I put it.  Let me rebuild the form as perhaps there is something else hanky going on.

If you can't get it to work please post some screenshots.

Ok, here are the details, since it didn't work:
mainform = frmordermainform, key field = orderid
subform = frmOrderFormParts.  Master/slave field = orderid (same name in both).  Combo6 created with controlsource = partnumber field in table.  Row source is qryOrderCatalog that has all the parts listed.

If user enters part in combo6 that is not existing in the catalog table/query, it asks if you want to add and if you click on Yes, opens frmAddPartFromCombo.  You enter the part info and hit the close button.  Here some screenshots
