I have a database that stores permitting information for a local gov.

I have found the List Files and Folders created by Alex and it works wonderfully to pull the file paths to a table. I used a function to count the rows in that table and another function to count the number of files in the folder and compare the two. When those numbers don't match I use VBA to delete everything in the table and then it rebuilds using ListFiles. I also turned off the "delete" warning. I used a combobox with an onclick event to display the pdf to the user. I don't feel like this is the most efficient way to do this (delete/rebuild) and I worry about errors later on.

What resources or tutorials should I look into to do this more efficiently? I want the combobox to update based on the files listed in the table as files are added or removed from the "rules" folder. So that as the state updates rules the files can be updated and the database stays current and the rules are easily available to users.
