Hi, I am trying to make the database that is in the students to parents video. I get to the subform part and for some reason I cannot make 1 of my combo boxes work. It is the parent name one in the screenshots. I can click on it and I can see the list fine but I cannot choose one or even begin to type one without the beep that comes with access. The other combo box works fine.

As you can see I have put together in the row source the name and adjusted all my columns. even before I did this it still won't allow me to do anything with that combo box.

Yea the Row source isn't right. Lets start with just `Select ParentID, Prefix As FullName From ParentT` If that works, then we can add more to the name column.

Thanks that works. I have all of my fields in the row source, but with null values in some of the records I have extra spaces and some with out spaces. I am thinking I I cannot use an IIF function in the row source maybe I should just make a query to fix this.

Using the query is probably going to be a lot simpler to read what is going on.
