Presentation From the Access Team
Richard Rost

Attended a good presentation from the Access Team this morning. They talked about all the new features and updates that they're working on and rolling out soon, like [REDACTED] and [REDACTED].

LOL. Seriously though, most of it is already public knowledge either on the Access Roadmap or has been covered on sites like Access Forever already.

Topics included stuff like Modern Chart improvements, continued work on the Monaco SQL editor, integrated source control for all you Git enthusiasts, and the one thing I'm really looking forward to: large monitor support.

So yes, lots of stuff coming, and yes, Access is still very much alive and well in 2025. The Access Team may be small compared to some other teams like Word and Excel, but they're workin' hard to make Access better for everyone.

Yeah that was me nerding out taking some pics on the MS campus. It's huge. I only saw a tiny part of it.

Oh, and the wife and I went to the Space Needle yesterday. Very cool (once you get past the huge line to get in).

Nice pictures. When I left the military I was living in Tacoma. I was looking for a job in the IT world. I saw an ad from a small company and decided to drive up to look the office over. When I arrived I saw a small sign with the company name in front of a small office. I just drove on as I was looking for a more established company. Yes, you guessed it. That small  company sign said Microsoft.

Brings back memories of playing on the mainframe at the old Kiewit building at Dartmouth. John Kemeny and Tom Kurtz helped me with learning the original Basic language. (should have bought Basic then )  John
