I have a main form linked to a child form on a one to many relationship with a primary ID and foreign key ID.
The child form could have up to 6 records (ID, Detail, Amount), but more likely only 1 to 3 records.
I would like to concatenate the Detail fields on the child form so that I can insert into the main form one additional field with the concatenated details, but I can't work out how to do so.
If I try to group within a query, because the details are different, I do not get a group based on the ID, so how can I achieve my aim?
I am baffled and at an impasse.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is hard to visualize without looking at it. This may be easier to do with a lookup function on the main form. Perhaps a DLOOKUP would work? If you could show me an example or explain it using generic terms (like customers and orders) then I'd have a better grasp on what you're trying to do.
