Insert sub form entries into a main form
David Spens

Main form is a form giving the booking of one of three possible rooms for events (dances, bingo afternoons, quiz nights, dinner parties etc. etc.).  Sometimes extras are required, Damage Deposit, Hire of Piano, Cleaning, Alcohol, Staging or Sound Enhancer.
The booking is entered in the Main Form (date, customer, period etc) and the extras are entered in the child form of the main form.
I want to provide a report listing on the first line the booking details entered (date, time, duration, room and price), and on the second line, the Extras (concatenated together in one line, with details and total additional cost, rather than in two or more lines).
Is that possible?  If so, I would appreciate it if someone could please suggest how?
If it's not possible, I will just have to have 2 or more lines, but I would rather have the one for the extras.
Many thanks

Reply from Richard Rost:

You could squeeze them into one line if you used a subreport and multiple columns. That might not look as pretty, but it would work.

The only way I could suggest putting them all together into one field would require a custom VBA function where you would send it the ID of the parent, and it would return a single string with the details and cost. That would involve a recordset loop.
