Work Order Submit

Hello all, I’ve been working on my work order database. I’ve let one of my colleagues try the request form. He states that at the bottom I should replace “exit work order request” with submit or save. I’m asking for suggestions.

Some say tomatoes, others say tomatoos.

If all your button is doing is closing the Form, technically you are neither submitting nor saving as Access will always save the record on exit. So basically, you can call it anything you want.

I say, think of your Users.   Fussy screens and button names can confuse busy people.  I use "Save and Close" as it is quick and easy to read. Try to standardize button names so they are similar regardless of what form or screen your user is on.

Always go with what your users say is best for them. My rule of thumb: It doesn't matter what your form is doing technically. If your end user understands it better in their words than yours, use theirs.
