I have a Short Text Control on a form. When I enter data like: Test, I get <div>Text</div>.
What can I do to fix this.

Your help will be appreciated.

Look at the "Text Format" property. it should be "Plain Text"

Access won't allow you to change the Text Format property to 'Rich Text' if the Data Type in the table is Short Text.
Going to need to see some screenshots.

This is a shot of the table data

Did the field at one point use to be a long text field that holds rich text? Because I've had that happen before. I had a long text field that I had set to rich text, and then I decided I wanted to change that to a short text field. Of course, it truncated some data, but that's okay. But it kept the HTML in the table. So you might have to just recreate the field as a short text field.

Does this happen if you add data directly in the table? Or only in the form?

It was a long text that I had changed to Short. I did recreate the field as a short text. Still does that same. If I type directly into th e table it's fine, but not while I use the form.
Weird.

Very weird. Try recreating the form field.

Yeah, thought of that last night. Did that this morning and it worked.

Thanks,
Mike

Yeah, something weird happened. Sometimes it's not worth worrying about why, as long as you can fix it. Access is such a complicated piece of software; every now and then it just glitches.
