Is there anyway you can password protect tables to open them. I am trying to make a DB so that each of our locations can input the payroll into a form but there is certain info in the tables I do not want them to view.

Microsoft doesn't really give you the power to password protect your tables in Access. They want you to use a database server like SQL SERVER for sensitive data like that. However, there are two things you can do.

First, you can create your own encryption routine to essentially scramble and unscramble the data in your tables on the fly: ENCRYPTION SEMINAR.

Second, if you are on a network, you can split your database and put the sensitive data in tables in a protected/secured network share: SPLIT DATABASE SEMINAR

Of course, these methods are also enhanced by the techniques I show in my SECURITY SEMINAR.

Or... you can move your tables up to SQL SERVER. It's the most expensive solution, but it does provide the best security. I'll have a seminar on this soon.
