Wow going through my old book and I found my school book on Pascal programing.  Does anyone still write in Pascal?

I don't still write it in, but I remember learning it in high school (junior year, I think). I was used to BASIC and C/C++ at the time, so I was like "what's this crap?" LOL.

Juan I haven't checked this out, but from my memory of the days in college, I believe Pascal came before C++.

Juan, you're a spring chicken. What are you talking about?
I started programming at college before either C++ or SQL were invented.

I started back when we had Enable, Wordstar and Lotus.  Dbase was a dot prompt.  and windows was not around.  and to boot we had to install DOS.  does this sound familiar?  And go Commador64.   LOL

I think I still beat you.
This reminds me of the scene from Jaws, where the three of them are in the boat at night, telling who has a better shark story.
I remember when the PC was introduced.

I will be 69 this year.

I started on BASIC in the early 80s with my TRS-80 Color Computer. Then as soon as I got my first PC, I learned C/C++ which was like 1986-ish. I graduated in 1990, so in my junior/senior years of HS, we're talking 1988-ish, they were still teaching Pascal. So I made fun of them. :)
