Reports Omit Blank Rows
Anthony deGroot

I have a very basic Query and Report.  Each Record could have  up to 5 Alternate part numbers.  When I run the report, it shows 5 boxes (in a column).  But I don't want to see an empty box, I want the report to only display rows that have values.

It this possible.
Thanks

Thank-you, "Can Grow, Shrink", worked.  I just had to remember to set page also, not just the field.  Still have one issue with it.  The report will grow as seen in the first line, however it will only shrink to a minimum of 3 lines. What am I missing?

Had to break it into 2 pics, because of the length

Make sure you have Can Shrink set to Yes FOR THE SECTION too.

The Can Shrink is set for the form and the filed.  Without the Can Shrink is shows approx. 4 blank rows,  With the Can Shrink, it reduces it to 2 blank rows.  How to get rid of the remainder blank rows?

Have you shrunk up the Detail Section so there is no space between the fields and the bottom of the Section?

I have shrunk the detail section as much as I could.

Are there any fields to the right or left of the fields you are trying to shrink that may be preventing those fields from shrinking?

There is nothing to the left or right of those fields

I deleted the report and started again.  Adding one row to the report at a time.  Everything working as it should (no added blank rows) until I add my last Row(5th row), then it automatically adds a blank rows

We're getting into weird territory. That's when I start to say: Troubleshooter

I mean the best solution would be to properly normalize the database so you don't have five fields with different things that are really the same thing and added as a separate related table. Then you could just group the records.Normalizing Data

Thank-you for all the input.  After a very tedious investigation, the problem has be resolved.  Would appear one field box was not quite aligned (a gap to the bottom of the field above) by .002.  I overlapped the fields and  'Arrange -  Equal Vertical', report is perfect.

Yeah, the next thing I was going to suggest is to make sure all your fields are lined up right, and you don't have any labels. Labels can do it too, especially if they're not bound to the text boxes and they don't go invisible.
