Copy a Continuous Form Field to Next Row

How to copy current record's field value to the next row. This is to avoid having to manually entered the same value for each new row until such time as the field is manually updated to a new value. Taking inventory with barcode reader and have a field Location to record where the data was counted; The value will be static until we move to a new location at which time a new value would be entered manually.

Doing it manually, you can on the keyboard press ctrl+' (control + apostrophe) and that will copy the value from the previous record.

If you're looking to have a continuous input form that just retains the value from the previous row until you change it, I would recommend something like in this video: Dynamic Default.

I shows you how to set the default value once and all new records will use that until you change it via the form.

Believe it or not, there is a wizard that will do this on the form under "Record Operations">Duplicate Record...

John Yes, if you're copying the whole record, that is an option, however, you are looking to just copy the value of one or two field(s) (i.e. just the date, or the location, etc.) then you have the Dynamic Default video linked above is a better option.
