I heartily agree with these comments.  I have found that the data bases that I create usually multiple development techniques that Richard has demonstrated in his tutorials.  Anyone who is familiar with Richard's courses of study, knows that development is not stand-alone and that learning is accumulative.
I support Richard in his effort to provide an effective learning tool.  Adaptation of the techniques is totally up to the person designing the database to serve their individual needs.  (i.e.  make it do what you want it to do)
