I would suspect it has something to do with your Joins but as Sami said we need to see your Query otherwise we are just guessing.

Kim, few things...

There isn't enough on the image you sent for us to figure out what's going on.
You are breaking many of Richard's rules regarding naming conventions:
1)You have spaces in your file name.
2)You have special characters in your file names.
3) why would you have a table that is called 'copy of' something else?

And the table that is called 'Copy of FullExport A....' is 'Last Name' Index?
Both primary keys on both tables are called 'id', which is very confusing. I would use something like class ID, student ID, etc.

A couple of field names you should really change:
    Name
    Count

Reserved Words

Hi Kim, We all know that many people have the same lastname, so when you link on lastname think of what can happen! If you have 2 people with the lastname Boren what is your result going to be. Take a piece of paper and sketch it out. Kim Boren matches with ABCD Boren who matches with XYZ Boren etc. That is why you are getting the wrong results. That is why Lastname is a very poor link.  If you cannot use a unique id you have to think about what else is unique. Try lastname,firstname,city and email to see if the combination is unique.  HTH John

Hi Kim, Sami and Kevin are correct about naming conventions. It is best to nip it early otherwise it comes back to bite you later. State can also bite you ST will work.  John

You're getting redundant names because you're using a Right Join query with only the Last Name.  Using just the last name will result in all duplicate records with the same last names.

You should add another join between the First Name Fields.

I'll also reiterate what others are telling you... the field names need to be fixed or you will have more problems later.  (get rid of the spaces and make sure you're not using reserved words)
